Conservation Actions
Not a lot has happen to save the Eastern Puma besides the Endangered Species Act that involves every endangered specie that is listed. Not much outside of that has been taken place or organized to help out the Eastern Puma but there is an organization called the Eastern Puma Research Network that helps out mountain lions, pumas, and also panthers. It was established by Dr. R. Pennington Smith, Courtney Jordan and John A. Lutz in July 1983. Not much is being done now with the endangerment of pumas to keep them alive and not extinct, which will happen if this keeps going on. The EPRN is trying hard to get rules and laws to help them survive but it isn't working at the moment but hopefully will work soon if it isn't too late already.
